An earthquake? I hope not. And of course hope that YOU are earthquake proof as well as the chandelier. It is fabulously beautiful, of course, but sounds precariously dangerous all on its own. Stay safe on both counts.
Bob and I got in at midnight - a fab trip with tremendous highlights musical, artistic, touristic and just Bobistic! Singing as the only choir from the central crossing by the main altar at Basilica San Marco (St. Mark's) was such a lifetime experience - it seemed the earth was swaying there too.
Will send on some photos. I really like this blog form - seeing them gives such a better sense of what you are doing and where you are.
