It's Monday and back to work at the Divan Taksim . . .
The sushi bar needs work, the pendant lamps need to be hung, organize all the glass for storage, etc. etc. The metal frame for the sushi bar is really poorly built and not to the specs, and it over a half inch too short to allow us to put the panels in. It was a frustrating long day of trying to work with the various craftsmen to change the metal frame, and also to rout out the wooden bull-nose frame around the sushi bar. The metal frame is not level, so the glass is not lying even, and each panel has to be individually shimmed. By 7:30 p.m. we were able to lay in all the glass panels. Tomorrow we can silicone the panels.
Some of the furniture arrived. Here we are looking at the sushi bar stools and chairs.
Juliana's friend Johnny arrived from London today, to spend the week seeing Istanbul with Juliana. So tonight was our last dinner at Divan City . . . Here are Johnny, Kathy, Robert, Luc and Juliana during dinner. We shared a Brownie Sunday and Rococo desserts . . . chocolate all around.
